Windows 95 Still On Some Homeland Security Computers

A recent extended downtime of Homeland Security computers only added to a list of issues the department is having with their network. Also included are system reverted back to Windows 95 after a failed Windows 2000 upgrade and databases only being linked to certain computers, meaning data must be entered repeatedly on different machines.

Microsoft has revealed that it’s working on a “significant” new feature of Windows Vista, the Restart Manager, that will let you update the operating system or applications without having to reboot the entire machine! Hello! We’ve been able to do this in Linux/Unix-land since, well, the 80s.

Wow…this is one of the better Mods I’ve seen. Really nicely done. “The Sangaku Case Mod; It’s a fusion of computer technology with Japanese the furniture-making tradition. Sangaku translates to “mathematics tablet” in Japanese”
